ACT Public School Enrolment

About this form

Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child in an ACT public school.

If you are a temporary resident please contact the International Education Unit prior to completing this form.

This application is to be completed in English. The application can be saved at any stage. You will be provided with a code which will allow you to return to your saved application. Please record the code for your reference.  Once the application has been submitted it cannot be returned to or altered. If you make a mistake on your application and wish to alter it you will need to lodge another application. Please note that there can only be one active application for a child at any time.  If you submit more than one application for a child the latest application will override all earlier applications.

The enrolment process has three stages:

  1. Completion of an application for enrolment (this form).
  2. Your application is processed according to the information provided on the ACT Education Directorate website. This information provides an overview of the criteria and procedures when applying to enrol in an ACT public school.
  3. A visit to the school where your child has been made an offer to complete the enrolment process and provide verification of information including proof of student’s residential address (e.g. original and current lease agreement, utility account etc) and original birth certificate or identity documents.

Please do not purchase items such as uniforms until you have completed the enrolment process at a school.
